L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems is seeking to develop embedded software for space-based imaging payloads, requiring an Embedded Software Engineer to participate in the complete life cycle of the software, from requirements, design, development, implementation, testing, verification, and support of algorithms, controls, and subsystems for complex aerospace applications.
Requirements
- Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Minimum 4 years of software development experience in C/C++.
- Background in developing and maintaining satellite payloads.
- Knowledge in space domain and applications.
- Fundamental knowledge of computer architecture and networks.
- Experience with SysML/UML, Python, Agile, and DevSecOps.
- Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, and Confluence.
Responsibilities
- Work within a small embedded software team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost/scope/schedule commitments.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with other engineers to develop reliable solutions.
- Observe Agile software development and engineering processes.
- Provide software support for units under test to on-orbit assets.
- Communicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes.
- Contribute to requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, integration and test, and requirements sell-off.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 6-9 years prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4-7 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10-12 years of prior related experience.
- DOD Secret Clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance.
