Cox Automotive is looking to solve technical problems related to software development, including ensuring technical integrity and compliance with design requirements, developing highly-scalable software products, and delivering high-quality architecture and user experience.
Requirements
- 6 years of experience developing and supporting applications based on Java technology, including developing Java-based web applications
- Writing SQL for back-end applications
- Performing web development using JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS
- Developing SaaS and Cloud applications on AWS
- Designing or implementing public-facing REST APIs
- Leveraging web technology and using or creating web services
- Implementing coding best practices around scalability, availability, and performance
Responsibilities
- Perform technical oversight and assessment of development projects to ensure technical integrity and compliance with design requirements
- Design and develop highly-scalable software products with extensive code coverage
- Write test cases, perform and drive testing, and write automation test scripts for continuous quality control
- Follow a developer-driven testing and TDD approach
- Ensure the engineering processes, from conception through deployment, delivers high quality architecture and user experience
- Provide mentoring, guidance, and technical leadership for the development team
- Develop and apply best practices for secure coding and TDD/BDD
Other
- Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 6 years of experience as stated, or a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated
- Position reports to Draper, UT office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office
- Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently
- Must be eligible to work in the USA
