The Boeing Company is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support the Open Architecture Systems Integrated Software Solutions team, focusing on Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in full cycle software engineer; full SDLC experienced
- 5+ years of experience in leading varieties of software teams
- 5+ years of experience in Object Oriented programming languages
- 5+ years of experience in agile software development environments
- Knowledge of host environments, including processors, operating systems and networks
- Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies
- Knowledge of software development processes in compliance with established internal and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices
Responsibilities
- Leads review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products
- Coordinates the development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations
- Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products
- Debugs and leads resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products
- Leads research and implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development
- Leads development, establishment, monitoring and improvement of software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks
- Leads execution and documentation of software research and development projects

- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- Travel up to 20%
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required
