L3Harris is seeking a software engineer with embedded real-time software development experience to support existing and develop next-generation military communications applications, contributing to the safety and effectiveness of US and allied nations' warfighters.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of embedded software engineering experience
- Experience with hands-on software development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
- Experience in object-oriented software architecture and design
- Experience in embedded systems design, including use of an RTOS
- Working knowledge of signal processing, control systems, networking
- Experience with drivers/hardware interfaces including PCIe, 1553, RS232, SPI, I2C, FPGAs, and other unique hardware
- Knowledge of protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, EtherCAT, CAN, RTPS/DDS
Responsibilities
- Develop software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production
- Design, code, test and debug embedded software
- Review design documentation and source code
- Support integration/validation of new product designs
- Provide production support
- Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team
- Generate software bids/proposals in response to government RFPs
Other
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

- Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off
