Wellington Management is seeking to build and evolve its innovative, industry-leading, technology platform to help find answers to fascinating questions that will impact the future of companies, economies, financial markets, and entire industries, and to dream up and build solutions to today's investment challenges.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Java, Python, and Node.JS
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySql
  • React is a plus
  • Experience with AI technologies is a plus
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies, CI/CD tools (Jenkins or equivalent), version control (Git) and Orchestration tools
  • Experience operating in a DevOps environment with cloud technologies. Amazon Web Services is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype and code new user-facing applications and workflows based on functional specifications across the full stack – services, web, infrastructure, and back-end
  • Partner with business analysts, QA engineers, and Portfolio Analysts to lead the delivery of high-quality business solutions. This will include participating in architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support
  • Lead the development and implementation of solutions to enhance and streamline investor workflows
  • Work with business teams, project managers, and systems analysts to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans which will include building estimates, identifying issues, and raising risks
  • Work across various IT teams to coordinate and facilitate infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and cross-functional projects
  • Modify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance
  • Provide technical and leadership across initiatives to ensure capabilities are developed with the latest methods and to the highest standards

Other

  • Provide guidance and mentoring for more junior team members
  • Author architecture, technical design, and support documentation and ensure the adherence to established code-quality standards
  • Ensure stability of production systems by implementing tools for observability, data quality and alerting, as well as providing hands-on support during on-call rotations
