Cohere Health is looking to solve the problem of shaping the architectural direction of their healthcare technology platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and long-term resilience in a highly regulated environment.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in microservices development and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Kafka for event streaming is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Java Spring is a plus.
- Experience working with modern data platforms that enable reliable, governed and analytics ready data.
- Familiarity with AI/ML Platforms, agentic frameworks, and evaluation methods for integrating AI agents, model pipelines and architectural design.
- Understanding of healthcare integration standards (HIPAA, FHIR, HL7) and secure architecture practices.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Define and maintain the architectural blueprint for our platforms, ensuring designs meet the needs of high-volume healthcare integrations and can scale across multiple systems, payors, and third party services.
- Scalable Systems Design: Establish architectural patterns and reusable frameworks that reduce technical debt, minimize redundant development, and enable integrations to scale securely and efficiently.
- Security & Compliance: Build architectures that are HIPAA, FHIR, and HL7 compliant, embedding data security, auditability, and privacy into design decisions.
- Technical Guidance: Provide architectural reviews, mentor engineers on design trade offs, and champion best practices in performance, resiliency, and cloud native development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product and engineering teams to align technical designs with business goals and ensure long term adaptability.
