JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking - GBP Technology team is looking to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. The role aims to drive significant business impact through technical expertise and problem-solving to tackle challenges across multiple technologies and applications.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Extensive engineering and programming experience in open source technologies
- Significant hands on programming experience in public cloud - AWS.
- Solid hands on experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platform - Terraform.
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s): Java / Python
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
Responsibilities
- Plays a pivotal role in setting the roadmap and overseeing the day-to-day management of platform/environment management, setting strategies and overseeing the public cloud resources, provisioning, optimization etc.
- Maintains deep understanding of the technical aspects of platform and provide operational leadership to the engineering and product team.
- Implements robust processes and operations dashboard to monitor the platform performance, user feedback and adherence to service level agreements (SLA), resiliency and key operational metrics in real-time.
- Develops strong partnership with controls, technology risk management, architecture and compliance to understand the firms requirement and influence/contribute to the maturity of the firms capabilities.
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
