JPMorganChase within the Home Lending is looking for a Manager of Software Engineering to lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by interpreting technical and business objectives, identifying challenges and providing innovative solutions to address them.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Experienced Encompass Administrator with over 7+ years of hands-on expertise in configuring, customizing, and maintaining the Encompass LOS platform to support retail, wholesale, and correspondent lending channels.
- Familiarity with API calls, Encompass plugins, OOP framework, and version control tools like GitHub.
- Exposure to JavaScript, particularly in the context of Encompass Web.
- Experience in writing and maintaining REST / SOAP Based APIs.
- Working Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git -based workflows or configuration-as-code practices.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle and in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers/system analysts on daily tasks and activities.
- Ensures optimal performance of all Home Lending systems leading to enhanced productivity and adherence to compliance regulations.
- Design and maintain custom input forms, business rules, field triggers, loan programs, and personas to streamline lending workflows.
- Support system upgrades, testing, and change management, ensuring minimal disruption during releases.
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.
