Requirements
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s)- Java/J2EE
- Expertise in low latency application development, and Core Java concepts
- Proficient in Linux, SQL and scripting
- Experience with large-scale distributed applications in mission-critical environments
- Familiarity with message/event-driven applications and Messaging APIs like JMS
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Designs, develops, tests, and implements Equities Order Management Systems
- Defines architecture patterns aligning with business and technical strategies
- Collaborates with a global team to deliver new features and bug fixes
- Understands business requirements, prioritize demands with stakeholders, translate to technical tasks and prepare delivery plan
- Assists in rolling out system upgrades and provide expert technical support
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Other
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Collaborates with a global team to deliver new features and bug fixes
- Understands business requirements, prioritize demands with stakeholders, translate to technical tasks and prepare delivery plan
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
