U.S. Bank is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help businesses manage and control expenses, building delightful customer experiences at scale

Requirements

    • Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and other related front end technologies stack (HTML, CSS, NodeJs, etc)
    • Experience integrating with REST API platforms
    • Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure using AWS
    • Experience with CI/CD and testing automation
    • Experience with building app with AppStore/GooglePlay is a plus
    • Experience with Observability tools like Splunk, Datadog, Grafana etc.
    • Experience in financial services, payments, or processing is a plus

Responsibilities

    • System Design & Architecture: Design and develop critical features and common reusable frontend components. Participate in and contribute to the design and architectural decisions of the front-end platform to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements, Identify and select the right tools and frameworks for the job. Identify and implement frameworks to enhance web/mobile platform capabilities and productivity
    • Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and low latency
    • Building & Managing System Observability: Leverage Spunk, SignalFX or similar products to build & maintain systems observability by creating dashboards, alerts and runbooks
    • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices and internal standards
    • Collaboration: Work closely with front-end engineers, experience teams, product managers and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally to build and evolve platform and application capabilities that meet the technical, product, and business objectives
    • Testing & Debugging: Implement comprehensive test strategies including unit testing, integration testing to maintain & improve product quality and debug issues as they arise.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the existing codebase and development processes.

Other

    • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
    • Six to eight years of relevant experience
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
    • Ability to work independently yet fully collaborate with remote teams, technical leadership, and architects at the company.
