Requirements
- Extensive experience in independently planning and building robust automation to test software applications
- Comfort with manually testing software applications
- Ability to setup and maintain a local Ruby on Rails environment
- Strong understanding of RSpec, Capybara, and Selenium WebDriver
- Ability to write complex SQL queries to validate data changes or troubleshoot issues
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the team to understand the work being done and verify the quality of the software being built
- Plan and build automation around new features and update automation for existing features
- Investigate and resolve complex bugs in unfamiliar code
- Troubleshoot test and tool failures with no prior context
- Mentor other team members on best practices and testing and automation strategies
- Offer code reviews on SDET pull requests
- Attend and participate in scrum meetings
