JPMorgan Chase's Consumer and Community Banking technology - Deposits Platform is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to enhance, build, and deliver reliable, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. The role involves implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains to support various business functions and achieve the firm's strategic goals.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in full-stack software development, specifically using Java, spring based technologies in AWS / Cloud environment
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Strong background in working with APIs (especially Open API), ensuring efficient communication and integration between different systems.
- Proven record of providing end-to-end support with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
- Strong infrastructure knowledge required including Unix, Windows, networking and scripting.
- Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
- Experience working at code level
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, with a focus on public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
