Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) such as Java, Python
- Experience in Generative AI
- Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.)
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Experience in building enterprise applications with high availability and performance using Java, Python, Spring, Kafka, Elastic Search, Distributed Cache
- Understanding of machine learning principles, especially in natural language processing (NLP) and deep learning, to effectively work with LLMs
Responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Sets up and manages POC's to evaluate the feasibility and impact of new technologies and methodologies
- Drives the adoption of best practices in software development and AI integration
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
