JPMorgan Chase is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments, utilizing in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with firm understanding of various design patterns, cloud native microservices architecture and engineering practices
- Strong experience working with Java, Spring Boot and Oracle, along with good understanding of pypi, nuget, npm and maven build tooling
- Comfortable in more than two programming languages with a strong understanding of fundamental web/internet technologies
- Experience with both Private and Public clouds ranging from IaaS to PaaS solutions
- Practical experience with unit testing using tools like JUnit and Mockito
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS and ECS
Responsibilities
- Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
- Makes decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
- Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
- Employ simple design and pragmatic implementation techniques to promote business value
- Pair program with team members to build high-quality solutions
- Mentor junior team members to progress their technical and professional skills
- Work collaboratively to ensure team and organization standards are followed and the team is consistently focused on continuous improvements and sustained delivery
