Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Java/Spring Boot backend development, design and architecture
- 5+ years of experience in event-driven architecture, microservice-based system design and both NoSQL and SQL-like databases
- 3+ years of Public Cloud development, design and architecture, including migration of applications to a public cloud environment
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, maintains and creates Spring Boot-based Java microservices in a hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Coaches, trains and inspires junior and intermediate software engineers in modern software best practices and both public cloud adoption and migration
- Drives software modernization and public cloud migration across development team, area product group and the Global Customer Platform group overall
- Removes blockers and impediments from development team, area product group and Global Customer Platform to reduce friction, frequent pain points and time-to-market
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
