S&P Global is looking to enhance its platform's framework and uphold code quality standards by hiring a senior developer and technical lead to build and maintain REST APIs on cloud platforms and develop a sophisticated user interface application.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in application development.
  • Proficient in Python programming, leveraging its versatile libraries and frameworks to develop robust, scalable, and efficient applications
  • Proficient in full-stack development, comfortable with backend and UI tasks.
  • AWS services and cloud infrastructure setup and deployment automation
  • PostgreSQL database design and development and performance tuning proficiency
  • Expertise in translating complex business requirements into maintainable enterprise software solutions.
  • Proficiency in database design, development, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in hands-on coding, documentation, testing, debugging, support, and team mentoring.
  • Design and develop applications using Python backend, databases, cloud services, and JavaScript front-end frameworks.
  • Take ownership of code modules and lead code review processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to formalize and document requirements for existing applications and new initiatives.
  • Work with other teams to integrate data and services across the enterprise.
  • Break down business objectives into technical requirements, delegate tasks, and conduct code reviews and pull requests.

  • Strong communication skills and experience working with business users.
  • This role is limited to persons with an indefinite right to work in the United States.
  • This role is expected to work a hybrid schedule out of our NYC office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Quantitative Finance, or equivalent experience.
