L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design, implement, maintain, and sustain cloud infrastructure and services for their satellite ground systems development team, aiming to enhance information superiority and provide actionable data for government and commercial users.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or related roles
- 5+ years experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Professional experience utilizing containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Professional experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies
- Extensive experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud architecture solutions that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to design and deploy cloud-based applications and services
- Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies to improve efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness
- Develop and implement cloud governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, capacity, and costs
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on cloud technologies and best practices
Other
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 9+ years of related experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 7+ years of related experience. In lieu of a degree 13+ years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
