L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Software Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering support for systems and associated subsystems across spectral programs in the Space and Airborne Systems Segment, with a focus on national security and customer mission-critical needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE tools
- Professional experience with microservice architecture and its application in software systems
- Prior or current Product Owner, CAM, or IPTL experience in space mission engineering, including mission design, analysis, and operations
- Professional experience decomposing complex requirements into detailed specifications
- Professional experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Experience with Linux and windows Systems
- Experience with Test Procedure/Use Case Verification
Responsibilities
- Lead a team interdisciplinary team as a Product Owner, CAM, IPTL in space mission engineering, including mission design, analysis, and operations.
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to develop and manage system models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
- Design and implement software systems to support space mission engineering.
- Decompose high-level requirements into detailed, actionable specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of system components.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Conduct system-level analyses and trade studies to support design decisions.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizens only)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
