Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment needs a Lead Quality Engineer to provide Quality Engineering support for various projects, ensuring suppliers are capable of meeting contract requirements and establishing a segment-wide process for manufacturing assessments of new suppliers.

Requirements

• Direct Manufacturing and Operational experience in one or more of the following areas: Machining, Composites, Valves, Special Processes, Finishing, etc
• Experience working for a DoD government contractor
• CQE, PMP and other certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Establish a Segment Wide process to incorporate Manufacturing assessments of new suppliers and/or critical procurements.
• Lead from the front and be capable of providing expertise in various manufacturing processes while setting up the process.
• Leverage direct manufacturing experience to develop suppliers and ensure new and existing suppliers are capable of meeting contract requirements.
• Support the new supplier selection process, providing technical input and expertise.
• Interface with adjacent Centers of Excellence to ensure the technical resources exist and are available to support the supply base.
• Provide technical support such as Manufacturing, Scheduling and Quality.

• Position requires approximatley 50% domestic travel.
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant Quality experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related Quality experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related Quality experience.
• Project management experience
