Requirements
- Advanced analytical skills necessary for the evaluation of complex data sets
- Strong experience in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and performance tune.
- Proven track record of researching, organizing, analyzing, and synthesizing data to support effective decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define system requirements and understand business reporting outcome.
- Knowledge of data warehouse fundamentals
- Advanced knowledge of analytics and business intelligence platforms (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or other similar tools.)
- Experience working with technical and non-technical staff to refine and manipulate data.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Vizient data submissions and outputs.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to identify performance trends, benchmark comparisons, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for clinical and operational leaders.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports that support strategic Vizient initiatives.
- Lead and mentor team members in best practices for healthcare analytics and data storytelling.
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritize focus areas and track progress on improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Vizient data methodologies and performance metrics.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as cooperatively with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong customer service skills
- Experience working in a healthcare delivery setting with clinical, operational, or financial reporting experience.
- Experience providing education, support, and training of new staff members and customers.
