Optum Services Inc. is looking to generate complex healthcare datasets for external and internal clients, requiring a Life Sciences Data Analyst to manage and ensure the quality of these datasets, support client needs, and optimize data release processes.
Requirements
- Programming Languages such as SQL, R, Python, or SAS
- Cloud-based storage systems including S3, GitHub, AWS environment and Google Cloud
- Microsoft Project or SmartSheet
- Azure, Jira, or Google Platforms
- Industry terminology such as HealthCare codes, Government data, and marketing terminologies
- Project management tools including Jira, Excel and Zoom
- Data privacy and encryption
Responsibilities
- Generate complex healthcare datasets for external and internal clients.
- Review and verify the quality of other analysts' deliverables.
- Coordinate with other analysts to ensure data tables and files are prepared for client delivery.
- Prepare supporting documentation for quarterly data product release.
- Coordinate with data teams to ensure data dictionary and entity relationship diagram are accurate.
- Perform quality control of team members products to ensure errors are not introduced into code and that analytical process is sound.
- Deliver full data products to clients as well as other delivery methods that may be developed in the future.
Other
- Collaborate with internal teams and different levels of management.
- Learn and embrace the nuances of real-world data (RWD).
- Coordinate with end users or other stakeholders to see projects through to completion.
- Participate in quarterly data product release.
- Support client-facing teams by investigating client concerns or questions they may experience as they use our data products.
