Carnegie Mellon University's Neuroscience Institute is seeking an Undergraduate Research Assistant to help advance the research initiatives of Dr. Shinn-Cunningham’s Lab in Multisensory Neuroscience (LiMN) while promoting the collaborative neuroscience community among CMU and Pitt.
Requirements
- Ability to use research equipment such as an eye tracker, audiometer, and experimental software
- Ability to use Excel and R for data consolidation and analysis
Responsibilities
- Working with participants to gather data during in-person experiments examining language perception and hearing
- Learning how to calibrate and use research equipment such as an eye tracker, audiometer, and experimental software
- Organizing and managing research documentation
- Assisting with data consolidation and analysis in Excel and R
- Collaborating with researchers from many different backgrounds and skill sets to design and refine novel paradigms
Other
- High School Diploma/GED
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Ability to pay close attention to detail; keep and maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.
- Ability to maintain composure when dealing with difficult situations and/or individuals.
- Successful background check investigation
