Peraton is seeking a Linux Developer / Integration Engineer to provide engineering and integration for data center services for the Department of Navy's IT architecture, aiming to design, build, and test enhanced services for a robust, world-wide communications network.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience administering RHEL operating systems in production environments
- Experience in Infrastructure/Datacenter engineering and integration for both physical and virtual infrastructure hosting RHEL systems
- Proven experience with system security practices: SELinux/AppArmor, iptables, intrusion detection/prevention
- Proven experience with VMware technology suite and Linux
- Proven experience with directory services and identity management (LDAP, Active Directory, Kerberos)
- Understanding and ability to develop, iterate, and document Bash scripts with logging and exit-code practices that ensure consistent performance
- Hands-on experience with package management and repository maintenance (RPM, DEB, YUM, APT)
Responsibilities
- Perform Systems Integration Engineering and Implementation services across the enterprise for hardware, software, and applications.
- Coordinate all design and integration activities for IT services to ensure consistency and business focus.
- Analyze the effectiveness and proper functioning of secure and resilient IT infrastructures, environments, applications and data/information resources and capability and make recommendations for improvement.

- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
- Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III certification
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Strong documentation skills: writing runbooks, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Experience or strong desire to gain experience in automation tools such as Ansible
