Link Solutions is seeking a Linux System Administrator to join their team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, to install, configure, maintain, and secure Windows-based workstations and services in compliance with DoD and ARL IT policies.
Requirements
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Certification
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.)
- Experience with RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments
- Experience with KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel-level tuning
- Experience with system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control
- Experience with shell scripting, Ansible, or equivalent configuration management tools
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments.
- Administer KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel-level tuning.
- Implement system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control.
- Monitor performance, handle incident response, and ensure uptime and data integrity.
- Automate tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or equivalent configuration management tools.
- Maintain backup and recovery solutions and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
- Conduct system audits and enforce DoD security requirements.

- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Must have an MS or BA/BS in computer sciences or information technology with two (2+) additional years of experience
- Five (5+) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment
- Ability to work with customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions
