Tiber Technologies is seeking a Junior Linux Systems Administrator to support a team of analysts and developers focused on data science and modeling for strategic IT decision-making, requiring a stable and secure computing environment.
Requirements
- 3 years of professional experience
- Experience with configuration management tools: Ansible (Linux) or DSC (Windows)
- Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
- Scripting experience in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Experience with Elasticsearch or the broader Elastic Stack.
- Experience documenting technical systems and processes.
- Ability to support infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer Linux-based systems across development, test, and production environments.
- Manage user accounts, system health, and security posture across three isolated environments.
- Apply system patches, manage compliance updates, and maintain system accreditation documentation.
- Monitor performance of systems and applications using tools like Nagios, Splunk, or Elastic.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtual machines, operating systems, and custom software.
- Support both Linux and some Windows-based virtual machines.
- Perform basic administration tasks within AWS environments.

- Must hold an active clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
- This position involves sedentary work with physical requirements expected for at least 50% of the time. Essential functions include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking.
- Active IAT Level II certification preferred.
