Link Solutions is seeking a Linux System Administrator (Senior-Level) to be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of enterprise workstations and servers in compliance with DoD and ARL IT policies at the Army Research Laboratory in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Requirements
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Certification.
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments.
- Administer KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel-level tuning.
- Implement system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control.
- Monitor performance, handle incident response, and ensure uptime and data integrity.
- Automate tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or equivalent configuration management tools.
- Maintain backup and recovery solutions and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
- Conduct system audits and enforce DoD security requirements.

- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- MS or BA/BS in computer sciences or information technology with two (2+) additional years of experience.
- Eight (8+) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment.
- Ability to work with customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions with existing structures and new requirements.
