Peraton is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join the team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area to deliver information security solutions, facilitate secure data flows, and detect/prevent unauthorized behaviors.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Linux environments
- Working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Experience with Ubuntu and RHEL8
- DOD 8570 compliance with minimum of IAT Level 2
- Experience with AWS Cloud Environments (preferred)
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
- Strong understanding of system administration concepts and technologies
Responsibilities
- Supporting the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
- Analyzing and resolving complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
- Providing enterprise-level network, server, desktop, and application security services
- Performing system security vulnerability assessments and solution development
- Reviewing mission performance to ensure proper execution of the mission
- Analyzing and resolving complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
- Collaborating with project personnel and partner/customer groups
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience as a System Administrator on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to collaborate with project personnel and partner/customer groups
