The Livestream Team at TikTok is looking to solve the problem of ensuring a high-quality, diverse, and engaging content experience on their live streaming platform. This involves building a secure and thriving real-time interaction space, minimizing problematic content, identifying emerging risks, and defending against bad-faith actors, all while maintaining transparency and defensibility in policy decisions.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of experience in LLM, safety, policy development, strategy, product policy roles or a related role in the tech/media space.
- Strong understanding of LLM, legal, regulatory, and ethical issues related to online monetization, strong knowledge of the content, AI, digital media, and technology industry.
- Exceptional analytical, good communication skills, able to draft policy in clear, actionable terms.
- Adaptability to fast pace changes and possessing the ability to make sound judgement in complex situations, embrace challenges and achieve results
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to drive cross functional collaborations and high trust in culturally diverse environments to achieve shared results
- Experience working with global stakeholders, including external partners
- Ability to think creatively and develop new ideas to address challenges related to monetization governance.
Responsibilities
- Understand the LIVE business model, evaluate existing and emerging risks generally on content safety and specifically to LIVE monetization and traffic ecosystem.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing policies to identify and address gaps and ambiguities.
- Pioneer and research on leading LLM ideals and practices in the industry and academic field.
- Leverage resources to help internal teams better understand major industry solutions.
- Identify the most feasible solutions for TikTok LIVE, and build up a defencible approach for internal and external communication.
- Drive TikTok LIVE monetization and ecosystem governance objectives leveraging both AI and human and collaborate efforts with algo, product and moderation efforts accordingly.
- Lead LIVE safety efforts in the fast changing business, and identify strategic policy priorities amidst a rapidly changing technological and societal landscape.

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Public Policy, Business Administration, Liberal Arts or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
