The Material Distribution Center (MDC) team at Collins Aerospace is looking to improve the process flow and ensure timely delivery of parts needed in manufacturing and to external customers.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- Able to work with suppliers on equipment and programs
- Proficient knowledge using Microsoft Office products
Responsibilities
- Utilize analytical thinking skills for equipment troubleshooting and productivity improvements
- Work directly with production assembly areas requiring effective communication skills to understand issues that arise as well as provide input on ways to improve material distribution.
- Evaluate effectiveness of current processes and identify improvements
- Review of automated process equipment for efficiency improvements
- Utilize data analytics to make data driven decisions
- Create and manage maintenance work orders to implement improvements and reduce outsourcing

- Ability to work onsite at the Coralville facility
