Blue Origin is looking to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems to support its mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, specifically through the development of sustainable infrastructure for transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
Requirements
- Experience designing, testing, troubleshooting, and/or operating complicated aerospace systems
- Experience leading a team of engineers
- Experience with scripting (Python or other scripting language)
- Experience with software tools such as DOORS Next Generation, Cameo, MATLAB/Simulink, Confluence, JIRA, Git, Creo, and Windchill
- Systems Engineering experience (requirements, interface definition, verification, validation)
- Experience on NASA programs and human spaceflight programs
- Experience leading system-level tests campaigns on large spacecraft
Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and lead the team developing the Lunar Lander test campaign
- Oversee development of test plans, test procedures, and test reports
- Support test campaigns from spacecraft components all the way up to integrated vehicle level
- Provide technical leadership and solve challenging problems while ensuring 100% safe operations
- Develop schedules, manage risks, and create risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure tests are planned, prepared, and executed as needed to support the program
- Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to ensure our test solution meets requirements and risk posture of the program
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or an equivalent related field
- Typically 8 or more years of experience
- Ability to travel as needed to support test planning and execution
- Ability to support odd hours and long weeks during test execution
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
