Stitch Fix is looking to solve the business problem of optimizing inventory management to delight clients and operate efficiently by improving how inventory is surfaced to clients and matched to client demand.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, statsmodels and other explainable predictive algorithms
- Comfortable with SQL and experience working with large datasets to gather insights
- Understanding of statistical principles and how to apply them to data and experimental results, and can communicate derived insights to stakeholders to drive action
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as matplotlib, seaborn, looker etc
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate improvements to the way our inventory surfaces to clients, improving how we match our finite assortment of available inventory to our client demand.
- Use decision-modeling frameworks, such as simulations, optimization models, and A/B testing, to assess potential outcomes and guide decision-making.
- Build tools and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making and empower non-technical stakeholders to leverage data insights in day-to-day decisions.
- Analyze data, building reusable tools & processes and integrating with live engineering services.
- Leverage data insights in how inventory can work best to support the client journey.
- Manage the ingestion and circulation of merchandise.
- Power decision frameworks that help the business understand impacts.
