TwelveLabs is pioneering the development of frontier multimodal foundation models that can see, hear and understand the world as humans do. The company aims to redefine standards in video-language modeling, enabling developers to build programs with state-of-the-art semantic search, summarization, and analysis capabilities. The Machine Learning Engineer will be instrumental in scaling training, inference, and evaluation systems, while improving the reliability of model deployments and operations.
Requirements
- Strong Python coding skills
- Experience with modern ML frameworks (i.e. PyTorch, Tensorflow)
- With at least one statically typed language (we use Golang)
- Building 0-to-1 mission critical AI/ML applications from scratch
- Optimizing model inference (TensorRT, ONNX, Triton Inference Server)
- Working with FFmpeg or other high performance image/video processing libraries
Responsibilities
- Advance our industry-leading enterprise video solutions by incorporating already-great research into fault tolerant, low latency e2e systems
- Scale multimodal AI/ML systems for video understanding
- Deliver industry leading applied research solutions to problems like VLM finetuning, auto-labeling of video-text datasets, and model-based filtering of said datasets to optimize (end-)model performance
- Build the highest impact, not the flashiest, libraries and services
- Scaling our training, inference, and evaluation systems
- Improving the reliability of our model deployments / operations / versioning / etc.
