Requirements
- Proficiency in machine learning techniques including Generalized Linear Models, Gradient Boosting, Deep Learning, and Probabilistic Calibration
- Strong engineering skills in Python and data manipulation skills with SQL
- Experience delivering major system features, components, or deprecating existing functionalities with well-defined technical plans
- Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code that facilitates collaboration
- Comfortable working across different levels of system architecture, from low-level implementation to large-scale system design
- Proven track record of gathering feedback, iterating on solutions, and demonstrating growth and impact
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical strategy for your team aligned with long-term business objectives
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure technical sustainability and risk management
- Act as a technical force-multiplier by advocating for robust solutions and operational excellence
- Ensure operational stability by implementing comprehensive monitoring, alerting, testing, and incident response processes
- Set and uphold high standards for code quality, system design, and documentation through code reviews and design discussions
- Lead talent development initiatives by providing mentorship, feedback, and technical guidance to team members

Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; relevant PhD can count for up to 2 years of experience
- 8+ years of industry experience in software engineering, machine learning, or related fields
- Domain knowledge in credit risk, portfolio management, learning to rank, and personalization is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration
- Fully remote position within the US, with flexibility to work from almost anywhere within the country
