Apella is applying computer vision and machine learning to improve the standard of care in surgery by building applications for surgeons, nurses, and hospital administrators.
Requirements
- Experience working on a range of optimization problems, including recommender systems, classification, or clustering.
- 5+ years of experience working with machine learning systems, covering the full production workflow and monitoring.
- Proficiency in handling real-world, large-scale datasets, particularly familiarity with image and video formats.
- Passion for writing readable, tested, and efficient code in collaboration with other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Invent and rigorously trial groundbreaking features offline to push the boundaries of model performance.
- Build, integrate, and monitor the end-to-end lifecycles of large-scale, distributed machine learning systems.
- Stay current with recent advancements in machine learning and deep learning to continually improve our models, tools and techniques.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and data science teams to understand business challenges and the potential for machine learning and AI solutions.
