Cash App is looking to mitigate risk and fraud across its financial products by leveraging machine learning and data analysis to better understand customers and offer new products and experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning, data analysis, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and data analysis techniques
  • Python (NumPy, Pandas, sklearn, xgboost, TensorFlow, keras, etc.)
  • MySQL, Snowflake, GCP/AWS and Tableau
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing frameworks is a plus
  • Experience with risk and fraud detection is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own analytical and ML solutions for the full lifecycle of Cash products with a focus on mitigating risk/fraud.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Platform, Legal, and others to balance financial loss to the business, regulatory risk, and the holistic customer experience.
  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns related to risk and fraud.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ML solutions into production systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
