Aurora is looking to solve the problem of developing and validating machine learning models for autonomy performance metrics and actor models.
Requirements
- ML model building experience (data preparation, training, evaluation)
- Robotics-related domain knowledge
- Motion Planning experience strongly preferred, but simulation experience in other domains eg. perception, manipulation, controls etc. will also be considered
- Knowledge of Pytorch, Jupyter
- Experience deploying ML models in production environments (desirable)
- Publications in top-tier conferences (not workshops) (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Developing new autonomy performance metrics and/or actor models to serve use cases
- Supporting ML model development workflow, such as data collection, processing and other infrastructure
- Developing tooling for any necessary visualization or extraction of insights from developing and running models
- Meeting with partners in Behavior Planning and Safety Engineering teams to understand their use case and constraints
- Working with the sibling team in Behavior Simulation to add any core functionality required to support actor models
- Supporting the team with code reviews and ideas as part of a collaborative environment
Other
- Motivated and can work independently in a fast paced environment, navigating problem ambiguity and churn
- MS/PhD with 2+ years of industry experience in a related field
