Motional is looking to solve the problem of making autonomous vehicles a safe, reliable, and accessible reality by conducting research on Machine Learning for prediction and planning
Requirements
Strong Machine Learning research background with publications in any of the top-tier conferences(RSS, ICRA, CoRL, CVPR, ICRL, ICML, NeurIPS, etc.)
Proficiency in Python coding and PyTorch or other commonly-used deep learning frameworks
Previous experience in autonomous driving is preferred
Responsibilities
Conduct research on driving behavior related topics, such as future prediction, motion planning, agent simulation, scenario generation
Work with large-scale internal datasets to demonstrate the effectiveness of your research
Collaborate with different teams to deploy your research results into the autonomous vehicles
Publish the research results in papers and patents
Other
Enrolled in a Masters or PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or similar technical field of study
One-team mindset and effective collaboration with other researchers and engineers
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Full-time internship period of at least 3-4 months
