Pratt & Whitney's Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC) is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to lead projects to develop machining processes for New Product Introductions programs.
Requirements
- machining processes including turning, milling shaping and grinding
- processing aerospace materials including nickel and titanium
- process planning and new product development
Responsibilities
- Cutting tool selection and specification
- Process design and tryout
- Creation of work instructions
- Development of new process technologies
- First piece tryout and achieving source approval of developed processes and delivery of new engine hardware.
Other
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Aerospace manufacturing, new product introductions, rotating hardware, IBRs/Blisks, fan/compressor airfoils, new capital equipment projects, continuous improvement projects, MRL (manufacturing readiness levels) and project leadership.
