NTT DATA's Client is seeking a Mainframe Developer to design, develop, and maintain their mainframe applications, ensuring efficient operation and integration with other systems.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, IMS, MQ Series, Endevor, and FTP.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies applied to mainframe environments with mainframe batch scheduling tools like CA7 or OPC/TWS
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Application Resiliency, and Security principles, and Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Java, JSON, Micro services
- Proven 2+ experience with middleware technologies such as IBM MQ, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), Apache Kafka, or similar is also necessary.
- Debug tools like Expeditor
- File Aid, Stored Procedures, Endeavor, CA-7, NDM, MFTS, s-FTP,NDM XML, CLIST, REXX is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, IMS, MQ Series, and other mainframe technologies as required.
- Implement and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate development, testing, and deployment processes for mainframe applications.
- Provide Production Support for mainframe applications, including monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Utilize middleware technologies such as IBM Integration Bus (IIB), Red Hat Fuse, Apache Kafka, or IBM MQ for integration, monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.
- Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
- Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
- Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems

- Overall 7+ years of experience.
- 2+ Experience in working as part of a scrum team with knowledge of related ceremonies
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
- Strong communication skills.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
