The City of New York’s Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH) is seeking to hire a Mainframe Developer to maintain and enhance its mainframe systems.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with COBOL
- Experience with JCL
- Experience with FTP
- Experience with Natural programming
- Experience with ADABAS database systems
- Development experience with Natural
- Experience with WebMethods or other mainframe integration systems
Responsibilities
- Creation and revision of COBOL code for mainframe systems
- Work with the Operations Unit, regarding the management of input and output, and quality control activities to ensure proper daily function
- Act as a liaison between other city agencies and OATH in development projects.
Other
- TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION CANDIDATE MUST BE SERVING PERMANENTLY IN THE TITLE.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Access, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- History of volunteerism, such as service in the AmeriCorps or Peace Corps, is viewed favorably.
- New York City Residency is not required for this position
