DXC Technology is looking to support a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions, requiring guidance, code reviews, and technical support. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure the successful delivery of software projects.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of relevant Mainframe application developer experience is mandatory
- Proficiency in 1 or more software programming languages: CICS and/or Cobol are required
- Development methodologies: Waterfall and/or Agile are required
- Coding and debugging skills are required
- Good technical and analytical skill
- Oracle Documaker experience in the insurance industry will be preferred
- Any exposure or certification in Life and Annuity Insurance domain will be preferred
Responsibilities
- Support a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support
- Contribute to software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code, under the guidance of senior team members
- Collaborate with the team to meet project objectives, actively participating in code reviews and design discussions
- Assist in the documentation of software requirements and specifications, striving for clear and effective communication
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, seeking guidance and mentorship
- Learn and adapt to software development practices and methodologies, actively participating in training programs
- Contribute to the implementation of best practices and emerging technologies
