Fiserv is looking for a Mainframe Software Architect to lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software applications that support their business goals and client needs in the financial services technology sector.
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience in large-scale IT system development, hands-on software development experience designing, writing, debugging, and testing.
- 13+ years of experience in mainframe technology including MVS, CICS, COBOL, JCL, and MQ that support large payment processors.
- 13+ years of experience in the financial industry, especially with mainframe experience with a financial payments platform or similar.
- Technical experience in DB2 and relational databases.
- Experience in Java or similar development.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform advanced coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members.
- Drive innovation and best practices within the software development team.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience.
