Howmet Aerospace is seeking to transform the next phase of more fuel-efficient, quieter aerospace engines and sustainable ground transportation by optimizing the physical infrastructure of their plants and equipment through Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Utilizes 8 pillars of TPM.
- Employing TPM and other Lean initiatives
- A strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Experience with tooling, molds and dies relating to the Investment Casting, Injection Molding, or Stamping Industries is preferred.
- Troubleshoot equipment
- Daily review of PM’s equipment down with team.
- ASAT – audits and improvements.
Responsibilities
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and other continuous improvement initiatives to manage the physical infrastructure of the plant and its equipment.
- Lead/Manage the Maintenance and Facilities Engineering departments
- Drive asset utilization. Shorten cycles, minimize downtime, and keep equipment running. Utilizes 8 pillars of TPM.
- Minimize unplanned equipment downtime and maximize equipment reliability by employing TPM and other Lean initiatives
- Ensure Facilities Engineering metrics are well-known, and track progress toward achieving department objectives
- Establish project goals, and lead the group effort toward successfully completing those projects
- Troubleshoot equipment – sense of urgency.
Other
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities and maintenance; 5 years of leadership experience leading facilities engineering.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
