Howmet Engines seeks an experienced professional to manage the physical infrastructure of the plant and its equipment, applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the design, installation, operation, maintenance, modification, construction, safety, and protection of facilities and equipment used to manufacture technologically sophisticated products.
Requirements
- Able to drive improvement through the implementation of the lean manufacturing principles, total quality practices, six sigma
- A strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes
- Experience with tooling, molds and dies relating to the Investment Casting, Injection Molding, or Stamping Industries is preferred
Responsibilities
- Drive asset utilization. Shorten cycles, minimize downtime, and keep equipment running. Utilizes 8 pillars of TPM.
- Minimize unplanned equipment downtime and maximize equipment reliability by employing TPM and other Lean initiatives
- Establish project goals, and lead the group effort toward successfully completing those projects
- Contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives for safety, on-time delivery, production efficiency, and scrap reduction
- Advise, assist and review all matters involving capital and major expenses. Review and edit all requests for assets (RFA) and author those pertaining to the facility
- ASAT management
- Troubleshoot equipment – sense of urgency.
