The Maintenance & Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering and maintenance functions within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all plant equipment and systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, predictive and preventive maintenance practices, and reliability engineering.
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Demonstrated experience managing capital projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred - Experience in a food or consumer goods manufacturing environment.
- Preferred - Certification in Maintenance and Reliability (CMRP or similar).
- Preferred - Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement certification.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and support staff.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely resolution of equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Contribute to and Lead engineering projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.
- Assist in development of project scopes, budgets, timelines, and ensure successful project execution.
- Implement strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce costs through predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and other tools.
- Analyze and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance efficiency.

- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
- Manage the maintenance department budget, including labor, materials, and capital expenditures.
- Provide regular reports on maintenance activities, costs, and equipment performance.
