Morton Salt is looking to maintain and improve the operations of the Manistee facility, including associated buildings and grounds, through effective maintenance and engineering management.
Requirements
- SAP experience
- AutoCAD experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, chemical, or electrical
- Proven ability to apply engineering principles to concrete problems and opportunities
- Ability to plan and carry out project assignments
- Strong technical skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare projects and supervise the installation of assigned projects
- Provide supervision and technical expertise on major machinery, equipment and building break downs, overhauls and maintenance
- Monitor and log critical records for the computerized maintenance management system
- Ensure that operating personnel training is conducted through the Maintenance Supervisors, OJT and Apprentice Program
- Maintain equipment for operational efficiency, expedite equipment repairs, increase plant efficiency, and offer training to operational personnel
- Assist the production departments as requested
- Administer Collective Bargaining Agreement and plant policies

- Three to five years of Manufacturing supervisory experience
