Intuit Mailchimp is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Finance Operations engineering team in developing and maintaining intricate billing systems, payment processor integrations, and financial data reports.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of modern web technologies
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience with performance optimization and scalability of web applications
- Experience and familiarity with AI and GenAI
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
- 10+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, directly managing software engineers
Responsibilities
- Lead and Mentor: Manage, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring high performance.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and direction to the team on architecture, design, and implementation of complex features.
- Project Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from planning and design through to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, design, and other engineering leaders to define product strategy, roadmap, and requirements for the email editing and template experience.
- Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence within the team, focusing on system reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
- Innovation: Encourage and foster a culture of innovation, exploring new technologies and approaches to enhance our product and engineering practices.
- Hiring & Team Building: Actively participate in recruiting and hiring top engineering talent to build a diverse and high-performing team.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

- Ability to work in a hybrid workplace, collaborating in person with team members in NYC and Atlanta offices three or more days per week
