TCGplayer, now a part of eBay, needs to increase the efficiency of the organization through well-designed automation and infrastructure to support the growth of its products and services in the collectible hobby market.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of engineering management experience
  • 5 or more years of experience working in program management, release management, or IT change management
  • Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures in a technology setting
  • Experience with agile methodology including using common tools such as Jira, road mapping, managing sprints and backlogs, and tracking resource usage
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Release Engineering team, consisting of Release Engineers
  • Lead Change Enablement meetings to facilitate communication and timing of major changes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, including IT leadership, business customers, and external auditors
  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of software engineers focused on build and deployment automation, process automation, and tooling integrations in support of the end-to-end development and release process
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by regularly soliciting feedback and implementing iterative improvements to TCGplayer’s Change & Release Enablement practices
  • Stay updated on industry trends and evolving governance frameworks, finding opportunities for innovation and differentiation in TCGplayer’s Change & Release Engineering
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, tutorials, and training resources to help TCGplayer Technology employees improve the benefits of the TCGplayer’s Change & Release Enablement framework and tooling

Other

  • Proficiency in ITIL is required to build technology guidelines and procedures for TCGplayer's teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
