Figma's Core Data Science team is looking to uplevel the company's use of data by implementing new statistical methods, building data frameworks, and incorporating data into the product. They also aim to uncover inefficiencies in system and resource utilization, recommend architectural improvements, and tie infrastructure investments to product performance and customer impact.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in statistical methods, experimentation, and/or forecasting
- Technical curiosity - you should be ready to learn and grow alongside your team
- Experience with ML or Security Data Science
Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and grow a team of data scientists with varied strengths and expertise focused on internal tooling, machine learning enablement, and support our Infrastructure organization
- Guide development of new and sophisticated applications of data
- Champion data quality, accessibility, and the democratization of data across the company
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Sales, Marketing, or Finance to drive impact
- Identify ways to implement and democratize new statistical methods
- Build data frameworks
- Incorporate data within Figma’s product
Other
- 3+ years of experience managing and leading high output data science teams
- 5+ years of experience working in of experience in Analytics, Data Science, or a related field
- Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders in the organization
- A desire to build an inclusive and diverse culture
- Experience scaling teams in high-growth environments
