The New to Credit Data Science team develops machine learning models for marketing, risk, and valuation to help business partners make informed marketing and underwriting decisions throughout the credit card lifecycle. The role aims to leverage advanced modeling techniques, alternative data sources, and robust infrastructure to enhance decision accuracy and efficiency, and generate insights that influence various business strategies.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
- At least 1 year of experience working with machine learning
- At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases
- At least 1 year of experience working with AWS
- At least 4 years’ experience in Python
- At least 4 years’ experience with building machine learning models, with at least two years of experience with building GBM models
- At least 4 years’ experience with SQL
Responsibilities
- Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
- Leverage a broad stack of technologies — Python, Conda, AWS, Spark, Kubeflow Pipelines, and more — to reveal the insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data
- Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love
- Develop machine learning models for marketing, risk, and valuation
- Prioritize advanced modeling techniques, alternative data sources, and robust infrastructure to enhance decision accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct thorough statistical analysis to generate insights that influence various business strategies
- Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers on all stages of model development
